Our Impact

2020: A Year for the Books

2020 was an incredible year of partnership and growth for City Plants. Here are a few of our crowning achievements:

We planted over 3,000 new street trees throughout Los Angeles, thanks to our unique and powerful planting collaborative with LADWP, the LA Corps, Koreatown Youth and Community Center, North East Trees, A Cleaner and Greener East LA, Fuego Tech Fire Rangers, Tree People, and the Los Angeles Beautification Team!

We distributed and delivered over 20,000 yard trees to Angelenos, thanks to LADWP and our amazing planting partners.

We hosted over 200 community tree adoption events.

We planted nearly 500 trees in parks throughout LA.

We hosted LA’s annual Arbor Day Celebration and planted 81 new trees in Hollenbeck Park in collaboration with our amazing supporters, city agencies, sponsors, and partners.

We worked with over 500 volunteers at our tree planting events.

We piloted a new tree planting technology in Elysian Park, with the support of Councilmember Mitch O’Farrell, Boise Project UP, Boise Paper, the Land Life Company, Office Depot, Arbor Day, Alliance for Community Trees, Dept. of Recreation and Parks, and the LA Conservation Corps.

We did all this, TOGETHER!

City Plants is proud to serve Angelenos and honored to work day in and day out with our partners to grow a greener, healthier, and more sustainable city for future generations.
