Street Trees for Your Neighborhood

New Request Pause

Thank you for your interest in greening Los Angeles! This year, City Plants received a record-high number of applications for street trees. In order to process and fulfill all pending requests, we are temporarily pausing new requests. Sign up for our newsletter to be notified when we start accepting new requests for street trees. In the meantime, we encourage you to continue watering and caring for trees in your neighborhood. We thank you for your patience in advance!

Do you want your street lined with beautiful, green trees?

Become a City Plants Block Leader, and sign up your neighbors for our Street Tree program!

All you need to do is speak with your neighbors and have them sign Permission to Plant Forms, where they agree to have a tree planted on the street in front of their house and they agree to water the tree during its first five years.

City Plants will take care of the rest. We’ll send out one of our planting partners to site, permit, purchase, and plant trees for every neighbor who signs up. Each resident will get instructions on how to properly water and care for their new trees.
